Text that is converted to vertical text in column headers appears to have its first letter truncated.

This happens in the Activity completion report, but may also happen in other pages where vertical text is used.

Replication steps:

1. Log in as teacher/admin
2. Navigate to a course
3. Navigate to Current admin > Reports > Activity completion
4. Load the page and wait for the table headers to be converted to vertical text
