Hard to test as the code doesn't work in 2.x anyway - we're just finally getting around to removing it.
it should be sufficient to test that adding a normal SCORM package to a course still works.

NOTE: This does NOT relate to the "IMS content package" option available when adding an activity/resource to a course - this is related to the SCORM setting "Enable IMS Package type" found in:
Admin > plugins > activities > SCORM > "Enable IMS package type"

Moodle 1.5-1.9 had a partially implemented feature in SCORM called the IMSRepository which provided a way to store and manage unzipped SCORM files in a directory - it wasn't completely implemented, wasn't documented anywhere and I think I only ever heard of one person using it (can't remember who) - we implemented some code in the upgrade to Moodle 2 that might have allowed existing packages to continue working but updating those packages would require converting to the usual methods of storing SCORM packages - it may not have worked at all and I haven't heard from anyone complaining about it being broken or support being lost.

Support is controlled by the setting in admin > plugins > activities > SCORM > "Enable IMS package type"
