      Before this patch is installed.

Create some users and set their user preference to either "Use HTML Editor" or "Use standard web forms". Remember who has got what set to what. Backup a course with these users enrolled (so you can restore them from backup later).

Upgrade - to version with patch.

Check each users settings - if they had "Use standard web forms" the new setting should be "Plain textarea". If they had "HTML editor", the "Default editor" option is selected.

Delete some of the users. Delete them from the users table. Then restore them from the backup file (to a new course - eg). Login as the restored users and check their preferences are set as above.

Change some ones text editor preference. See that all text editors now show the users chosen text editor when logged in as that user. Change it again, test it again.

    Description

At the moment we have a setting in the user profile:

When editing text - use html editor /use plain text field.

I propose that we change that field to allow selection of an individual html editor plugin on a per user basis.

That way on moodle.org I can use damyons cool html5 plugin, and Martin can continue to use tinymce.
