Does/should Moodle refresh to login page (like banks) when session expires?

Does/should moodle refresh to login page (like banks) when session expires?

[moodle.org forums no longer let me start discussions ?? so added issue here :-( ]

I ask this, because users are likely to return to moodle pages when the session has expired & click things (like collapsed topics) & generate errors like this:

I’m testing mdl 2.6 beta+ with topcol & bootstrap Clean with docking but I thought this could become a more general issue in future
