It appears that completion is not being recorded for the Book activity module when a student views the resource.

Replication steps:

1. Log in as admin
2. Navigate to Site admin > Advanced features
3. Check "Enable completion tracking"
4. Navigate to a course
5. Edit the course settings
6. Expand the "Completion tracking" section
7. Set "Enable completion tracking" to Yes.
8. Save the course settings
9. Create/edit a Book activity
10. Expand the Activity completion secion
11. Set Completion tracking to "Show activity as complete when conditions are met"
12. Check "Require view"
13. Save the config changes
14. Log in as a student
15. Navigate to the course
16. View the Book
17. Return to the course

Expected result: The completion icon by book should be checked.

Actual result: The completion icon is unchecked.
