I'm going to try to explain this the best way possible:
On a server with timezone set to EDT
Moodle timezone set to America/New_York
Profile set to America/New_York
When I scroll to the month of November 2014 in the calendar block and click on any day with events (other than November 1) the link takes you to the day before what you clicked on.
To replicate this, set server to EDT and Moodle and profile to America/New_York, then create a course with an assignment due anytime between November 2, 2014 and November 30, 2014. Add the calendar block to the course and scroll over to November and click on the day with the event.
Please let me know if you need more information on this one.
