    Description

Currently the auto-create groups only lets you create groups based on the entire cohort of users within a site (with an option to filter users by role). It'd be great to be able to auto-create groups based on an existing group or grouping membership for larger classes.

For example: A moodle contains groups based on tutorial classes. A tutor wants to split their existing tutorial group in moodle into 5 sub groups for a assignment. Currently the teacher must manually create these 5 groups and assign membership from the entire list of users within the course.
