As I understand because of new logging api in moodle 2.7 there is no option to clear course logs during course reset. This results in confusion in Activity report, for example - after resetting, this report continues to show last access and views count for resources. Some plugins, such as Progress Bar, works incorrectly as well.

I think that it makes sense to return to the question about cleaning the log records associated with the course during reset.
