Moodle activities do not have the ability to dynamically set start, deadline (due) and close dates based on the enrollment date.
Using Moodle in a rolling-enrollment system (such as online delivery) there is a need to allow the due date to be set as X days after the enrollment is made.
Currently due dates at the moment would have to be left off to allow them to attempt the assessments as needed.
The ability to set a due date based on the start date would facilitate the use of scheduled assessments.
This is especially true with quizzes where completion of one task to trigger a quiz would become cumbersome.
The use of the start, due and close dates based on a dynamic setting would allow a quiz to open a set number of days after enrollment, to be due for completion by a different period after commencing the course, and to have all attempts completed by a third dynamic period.
Using "completed activity" triggers may not provide the desired "deadlines" that are needed.
This would also allow for Late Start Students who could have assignment dates adjusted based on the end date of their enrollment.
