A confusing thing happens if autologinguests and forceloginforprofiles are both on a user goes to a user profile

Make sure that forceloginforprofiles and autologinguests are both on.

Log out and access a user profile. It will have a URL like /user/view.php?id=2&course=1

You should get a message saying that guests cannot access user profiles.

Click the link to the log in page, log in and check that you arrive at the user profile.

Note that this change doesn't affect a non-guest user's ability to see the profile so check that the user you are logging in as has the ability to see the profile in the first place.

If autologinguests and forceloginforprofiles are both on a user going to a user profile (/user/view.php?id=2&course=1) is redirected to the log in page. This is actually correct but it could be handled better.

They are already guest so there is no "login as guest" button. There is no explanation of why they are there.

This is problematic on moodle.org (and likely other sites). In the case of moodle.org a user coming to the site front page who clicks on one of the user profile pictures in the "useful posts" area winds up at the log in page.
