As a teacher, go to the gradebook of a course
Select "Letters" which will lead you to the page "Grade letters"
Ensure that the scale is not overridden.
You should not see a message about overides
Click on "Edit"
Check the "Override site defaults" and click on "Save changes".
The message should now be:
"Grade letters settings are currently overridden."

In the letter gradebook page as a teacher, it may be great to know if the letter was overridden without the need of edit the letter.
