Atto - Format can not be applied to all selected text in android devices

      Using Chrome and Safari with tablet devices to

      1. Open a page Atto editor and at least one other input field and enter several lines of text in Atto
      2. Select word with double tap
      3. apply formatting with atto buttons
      4. verify that the selected text is the one that is changed
      5. Select text with long tap and then dragging the ends and repeat formatting next.
      6. Make sure that the whole line can be selected and formatted by dragging the endpoints to the edge of the editor.
      7. Click on another input field so editor looses focus.
      8. tap formatting button and verify that the last selection is restored and formatting applied to it, not some previous one.
      9. Using Chrome on a desktop to verify the following still works from MDL-47943 and does not cause a regression,
        1. Open atto in window.
        2. Enter several lines of text
        3. Highlight one and apply formatting (bold, italic or style)
        4. Highlight another line by clicking and dragging cursor outside editor before releasing mouse button.
        5. Apply formatting with button and verify that the last selection is formatted not previous.
        6. Repeat with other formatting options.
      10. Repeat selection process and verify that a link can be applied to last selected via button (see MDL-45842 for problem)
      11. since we believe this fix resolves MDL-47957 and MDL-47744 check the instructions with those issues too namely
      12. create quiz with an essay question type.
      13. attempt quiz as an enrolled student answer essay with Atto verify selection and formatting changes work as expected and submit quiz
      14. as teacher view attempts and click question responses
      15. open 'Overide mark or make comment'
      16. verify that selection formatting works as above.

      (Using a nexus 5) When I select a range of words in an atto text editor, and I press bold, italic or any of the other formats, only the first word gets the format.

      Would be good if someone with an iphone or ipad can comment on how atto behaves when selecting text and applying a style there.
