This issue comes with extensive behat tests.
Run all behat tests for @block_activity_results

Upgrade and backup test

Before upgrade add block 'quiz_results' to some courses and quizzes

Backup this course

Update the source code and run upgrade process

Make sure all instances of quiz_results block are replaced with instances of activity_results block

Restore the course and make sure that blocks are restored

Ensure the quiz results block is hidden in Site administration / ▶ Plugins / ▶ Blocks / ▶ Manage blocks

New Install test

Install a new site and ensure the quiz results block is hidden

Exploratory test (added by Dan P)

Add some activity modules with with grades, multiple students and try adding the block around the place ensuring it behaves as expected

Currently moodle supports high scores from modules in multiple ways. Quiz uses the block_quiz_results and lesson has a broken custom implementation. Rather than implement a new module specific solution for lesson, it was suggested in https://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=278186 that a generic solution that could be applied to any graded module should be developed.

This issue proposes to implement a block similar to quiz_results that can be used by any module.
