Unable to edit database module entries in master

      1. Create a database activity module
      2. Add a required field and a not required field
      3. Add a new entry with both fields filled in
      4. Edit that entry
      5. Set the required field as empty

    Description

      I noticed that on master only I can no longer remove any field value when editing the entry in database activity. It is neither possible to replace text with empty string nor uncheck the checkbox.

      Problem disappears if I revert MDL-5583
