Youtube link doesn't display in emailed forum post

      For testing you need mail set up

      1. Enable media and emoticon filters and some other filter
      2. Create a forum with subscribed users (for example News forum has forced subscriptions)
      3. Post on this forum (check "email now" if you are impatient), include links to videos and smileys in the post and somthing else that would engage another filter (for example multilang)
      4. Make sure the links are converted to videos and smileys - to images and another filter applied to
      5. Check email and make sure the links to videos are displayed as links, smileys are not converted to images but your third filter was applied

    Description

      The link to a Youtube video, when embedded in a forum post, displays in the course, but does not appear in the post when received by forum subscribers.

      1. Create a forum and subscribe to the forum.
      2. Add a new discussion topic or reply to an existing one
      3. In the Message text box, type some text, click the "link" (or add/edit link) icon and enter the URL of the Youtube video.
      4. Submit the post.
      5. Note that the Youtube video displays within Moodle.
      6. Wait for the forum post to arrive in your email.
      7. Note that the link to the Youtube video is missing from the received email.

      Tested TinyMCE and Atto text editors.
