If you attempt to import a grade with more than 100 points you get the message "One of the grade values is larger than the allowed grade maximum of 100" But there is no reason not to be able to import a larger grade for a grade item with more than 100 points. For example if an assignment is worth 250 points, you should be able to import scores up to 250 points.
