Create a Course.

Enrol a Teacher and a Student into Course.

Create a Book activity.

Create several Chapters and Subchapters in Book.

Log in as Teacher.

Go to Course > Book activity.

Turn editing on.

Hide some of the Chapters/Subchapters in the "Table of contents" block.

Turn editing off.

make sure the hidden chapters/subchapters are still displayed in the "Table of contents" block, but with muted text.

Log in as Student.

Go to Course > Book activity.

make sure the hidden chapters/subchapters are not displayed in the "Table of contents" block"

Description

I would like to use hidden pages in the book module for the teachers.
.I can hide a page but it is totally invisible once the editing mode is turned off

The teacher will only notice the existence hidden page when he turns editing on.

hidden page- visible for teachers - editing on

hidden page ~~not visible for anyone~~ editing turned off

I dont see any practical use for the current possibility to make hidden pages in the editing mode if the result is not visible for anyone out of the editing mode.

Is there a way to solve this problem?
