We have a number of "Course of Record" courses, in folder format, with a varying number of topics, 11-12. When we do the Moodle Bulk Upload csv with a coursetemplate, the system seems to be writing the number of visible topics to the default of 10. There seems to be no setting to adjust this. If our course has 11 topics, then it hides the 11th topic. I noticed that our default new courses topic count is set to 10 is there where they are pulling the number from? How do I adjust the number of topics to include all that are in the template... Also, it appears that it adds default blocks to the newly created course. Why wouldn't it clone the template exactly with the same number of topics, and same blocks?
Edited: Since Moodle 3.3 number of sections in topics and weeks formats is no longer a course format option. But the problem remains with other course format options and blocks. This happens because template course is restored into the new course using "Merging" option and without overwriting course configuration.
