After taking a backup of front page activities in version 2.8.7 I then wanted to restore them into my version 2.9.2 site, however at the final step of the process I get the error message "You can only restore front page backups on the front page" with no additional debugging text.

I then tested this with a 2.6 site front page and restored it into my 2.9.2 site and I get the same error message again.

When doing the front page backup from a 2.9.1 site it restores perfectly fine into the 2.9.2 site.

Steps to replicate:

• Add a activity to the front page within a non 2.9 site
• Perform a backup of the front page containing only the activities and resources
• Go to a 2.9.2 site and restore the backup with the "Merge the backup course into this course" option.
• Make sure Course name is the name of the 2.9.2 front page and that the course short name is the short name for the front page.
• Perform the restore
• Error message occurs
