- Make sure your message text is rendered correctly.

Description

This function doesn't actually seem to be used anywhere in Moodle core (at least in 2.9.2), which would explain why this hasn't been spotted yet, but I just tried to use it in a local plugin and got:
"Fatal error: Class 'notification' not found in /home/tony/git/services/moodle/lib/outputrenderers.php on line 2827".
