- Install a new calendar type plugin (for example the Persian calendar)
- Update you profile and use the installed calendar as your preferred calendar
- Create a database activity module in a course and add a "date" type field to it
- Visit the add entry page of the database. The date field created earlier should be displayed correctly (ref:

Description
The html_writer::select_time does not respect the calendar type plugin that is in use. It always assumes that the calendar is Gregorian which may not be true.
