actually there is no way in Moodle to let a student know how estimated working time he has to spent working on each activity/ressource/course AND to report/summarize those informations for all subscribed courses.

The only actual way is to add this data to course/activity/ressource(/section ?) description. But we can't query and report by this way.

It would be great to have :

1. an optionnal field in course parameters (data in hours : data type float, eg. 1.5 hour ; data in minutes : data type integer, eg 210 mn) AND/OR
2. an optionnal field in activity/ressource(/section ?) parameters (data in hours : data type float, eg. 1.5 hour ; data in minutes : data type integer, eg 210 mn)
3. a block who displays the total time of activities/ressources, optionnaly : total time and title + time of each activy/ressource)
4. a method to report/export sum of activities/ressources and/or courses estimated working time by student with details

Or we could have a more generic solution if we could add some custom optional fields for courses (cf MDL-18319) and activities/ressources.
