The admin defaults for the solr search engine completely define a default connection string

Because they are completely defined - and you can run the global search indexer without global search being enabled - out of the box - I now have all of my dev master instances pointing at the same solr index. We should force them to set the indexname at least which will force them to go to the solr settings page, and click "save changes" on that page.

Also - because they now have to go to this page and click save - we could warn them at the same time, if the schema has not been set up in solr, we will do it automatically.

This will prevent us from having to ever see the error: "Error validating Solr schema, field itemid does not exist. Please follow this link to setup the fields required by Moodle"
