I am aware that there has been some work on this before, but it doesn't seem to have been resolved.

If a student is unable to complete at task, and the teacher decides to exclude them (in gradebook), could it then show up on the progress bar as a green tick - at present it stays as a red cross - which is very annoying for students, and teacher alike.

Solution: If the progress bar sources the results from gradebook, then allow an excluded task to be represented on the progress bar as the "pass" grade. e.g.:

Submitted: excluded = submitted (green tick on progress bar)
Marked: excluded = marked (green tick on progress bar)
Passed: excluded = passed (green tick on progress bar)

In addition to this, would it be possible to have the option of assigning an "excluded" in the task grading screen - not just in the gradebook?
