Gradebook category max grade is not automatically updated when formula is used (regression in 3.0)

      We recently upgraded from 2.9 to 3.1.

      We noticed that in the gradebook setup for 3.1.1 when adding a category total or course total formula the max grade does not adjust to the formula. For example:

      There are four categories: category 1 (worth 200 points), category 2 (worth 300 points), category 3 (worth 300 points), category 4 (worth 400 points)

      The course total has a formula setup to sum together category 1 (worth 200 points) and category 2 (worth 300 points) which equals 500 points. However, the max grade shows 1200, which is the total for all four categories.

      If you do this same setup in 2.9 the max grade adjusts to 500 points.
