One of my faculty has run a Quiz for her class and has the interesting problem where, when manually grading some questions, the SAVE button on the "Make comment or override points" screen does nothing.
I have loaded this page myself using the Chrome developer tools and watching the web server logs and can confirm that on affected questions, the SAVE button seems completely inactive. On "functioning" questions, the button acts like it should.
Furthermore, I have noted that the position of the SAVE and CANCEL buttons is different on the failing dialogs. On working examples, they are more or less centered under Response history while on failing examples they are located to the bottom left.
I took a basic look at the code paths here and have been unable to find anything – especially because the error seems to be a non-working button. However, when I exported an anonomyized version of the quiz (please find attached.) and loaded it in my development (3.1.1) environment the problem persists.
- Restore this quiz into Moodle and enrol the anonymous users.
- Enter the Quiz 2 activity and chose "Attempts: 15" link to view grades
- Find Anonfirstname16 and compare the Q.10 (1.50 grade) with the Q.11 (0.00) grade links.
Q.10 does work as expected while Q.11 does not. There are other examples in this data set, Q.12 is another common offender.
