Given an existing course, go to Course administration > Users > Groups.

If you don't have a group, create one.

Click Add/remove users

Please note Search options on the bottom is not half-hidden any more.

Resize the screen, simulating a small device.

Make sure the checkbox and labels are in the same line, and just the text is wrapped.
