You need to test this on a site that is registered to a hub using boost. (you can use local_hub plugin to create a hub).

Goto a course>publish>advertise for anyone to join>select hub>advertise

In the resulting page make sure the "subject" field is a searchable select field and works as expected.

Go back to course add a communities block > search

Expand form and look for "subject" field, make sure it works as expected and is a "Searchable" select element.

Boost pulls form elements and resizes them if needed.

This breaks smart select as it is not aware of this change in position.
