Database module dates limited to 1970 - 2020

      The date field doesn't let you specify a date range to choose from and the default (1970 - 2020) is only useful for certain things e.g. birthdays of people under 36.

      This has the knock on effect that if you were trying to get the reigns of kings or something that spans centuries then the drop down list becomes impractical.

      (I note as well that impossible dates like 31st feb get silently translated rather than generate an error and feedback to the user).
