    Description

      Mutli step login provides a number of benefits.

      • Allows us to implement 2 factor auth (we can check if the user has 2FA before they type their password)
      • Prevents fishing (by more obviously remembering the user)
      • Allows us to match usernames with other authentication methods (e.g. if a username entered belongs to mnet, we can redirect them to the other moodle instance to log in instead of just saying the password is wrong)
      • More modern user experience
