Whitespace on course overview block is crazy

      Theme Boost test

      1. Create two courses
      2. Enrol a student in both courses
      3. In the first course:
        1. Create an assignment with a due date set to some time in the future
        2. Create an assignment with a due date set to some time in the past
      4. Log in as the student
      5. View your dashboard
      6. Increase the width of your browser to > 1600px
      7. Confirm that the content of the course overview block doesn't increase beyond 900px wide
      8. Click "sort by courses"
      9. Confirm the "no upcoming activities" placeholder image for course two has a height of 50px
      10. Confirm that there is some margin above and below the placeholder element
      11. Click the "Courses" tab
      12. Confirm that the content of the course overview block doesn't increase beyond 900px wide
      13. Confirm that the course element (thing with class courses-view-course-item) has a height of 190px
      14. Reduce the width of the browser window to below 1600px
      15. Confirm that the course element (thing with class courses-view-course-item) has a height of 220px

      Theme Clean test

      1. Log in as the student
      2. Click "sort by courses"
      3. Confirm the "no upcoming activities" placeholder image for course two has a height of 50px
      4. Confirm that there is some margin above and below the placeholder element
      5. Confirm that an event shows up in "recently overdue" for course 1
      6. Confirm that an event shows up at some point in the future for course 1

      Please look at how much space is wasted here on a large screen.  It really looks like someone was not caring about the student experience. 

       

      Please don't quote the mockups because they didn't cover the case of large screens.
