Create a "time-independent" courses tab on the dashboard

      • Create a user User1
      • Create the following two courses:
      • Course1: Start date yesterday, End date tomorrow
      • Course2: Start date default (or any past date), End date disabled
      • Enrol User1 on both courses
      • Log in as User1: both courses should appear on the "Courses > In progress" tab of Course Overview
      • As admin, navigate to /admin/settings.php?section=blocksettingmyoverview, check "Time independent" checkbox, and save.
      • Reload dashboard as User1: A "Time independent" tab should now be shown. Course1 should appear on "In progress", Course2 should appear on "Time independent"

    Description

      In a number of institutions I work with, there are a number of constant, time-independent courses, e.g. a library orientation course, a staff support course, etc. They do not fall into any of the three course tabs available now (current, future or past courses). Maybe a fourth tab might be necessary - it would hold courses which do not have either the start or the end date.I'm not sure what the tab might be labelled, though. Time-independent courses? Constant courses?
