      Description

      MDL-48228 made changes for support of utf8mb4. Unfortunately as part of that change, the Barracuda storage format was made mandatory, as was the use of innodb_large_prefix. This is a problem for shared hosting users, who generally can't make use of either of these things. This change was merged in a point release, not a major release. This prevents shared hosting customers from upgrading to get moodle security fixes on their current stable release branch.

      The following errors are now received on an Antelope installation;

      == Environment ==

      !! mysql_full_unicode_support#File_format !!

      this test must passYour database uses Antelope as the file format. Full UTF-8 support in MySQL and MariaDB requires the Barracuda file format. Please switch to the Barracuda file format. See the documentation MySQL full unicode support [1] for details.

      !! mysql_full_unicode_support#Large_prefix !!

      this test must passFor full support of UTF-8 both MySQL and MariaDB require you to change your MySQL setting 'innodb_large_prefix' to 'ON'. See the documentation for further details.
