Forum: No announcement of completed forum actions

      Setup:

      • Use IE with JAWS.
      • Log in as admin.
      • Create a forum activity in a course.
      • Use the boost theme.

      Test:

      1. In the forum, create a new discussion topic.
      2. Verify on the page after the topic was saved, you get a message saying what was done that has focus by default.
      3. Reply to the discussion topic.
      4. Verify on the page after the reply was saved, you get a message saying what was done that has focus by default.
      5. Split the discussion
      6. Verify on the page after the discussion was split, you get a message saying what was done that has focus by default.
      7. Delete a post
      8. Verify on the page after the post was deleted, you get a message saying what was done that has focus by default.

      Description: There is no announcement by a screen reader when a forum event/action has occurred. Example actions include posting a new topic/post/reply, deleting an existing topic/post/reply,

      Steps to replicate:

      1. Turn on JAWS and open a forum in Chrome
      2. Post/reply to the forum
      3. Note the alert announcement that the post was successful and the user has 30 minutes to edit
      4. Close Chrome and repeat in Firefox (the current Firefox "Quantum" is inaccessible to JAWS so use Firefox ESR instead)
      5. Note the alert announcement is not announced in IE or Firefox.

      Chrome: JAWS-Yes, NVDA-Yes

      Firefox: JAWS-No, NVDA-No

      IE: JAWS-Yes, NVDA-No
