MOODLE_33_STABLE, MOODLE_39_STABLE
Overview
The teacher will have the ability to auto assign a grade value of 0 pts for Activities that have a due date, deadline, close date, or cut-off date selected. This will reduce the workload for teachers to manually assigning 0 pts for incomplete activities. Having Moodle automatically assign 0 pts into the student's Gradebook would allow students to see their current Activity grade. Some students are unaware that their Activity is incomplete when teachers take too long to populate incomplete Activity grades to 0 pts. Moodle automatically assigning 0 pts could provide students a quick preview and allow them to address their concerns quicker.
Summary
Project size: small
Audience: primary schools, universities, work places - any group needing assessment completion
Target users: teachers and students
Goals
After an activity "due date, deadline, close date, or cut-off date" the activity would automatically assign 0 pts for the activity after that date.
User Stories
When the teacher creates an Activity with "auto grade" and sets the "due date, deadline, close date, or cut-off date" the Activity would automatically assign 0 pts after that date. This will reduce the teacher workload to manually assign 0 pts and also quickly displays to students they are missing an Activity - when the Gradebook is set to "Exempt empty grade".
As a teacher, I should be able to set an Activity due date, deadline, close date, or cut-off date which will provide 0 pts in the Gradebook when the student fails to complete the Activity.
As a student, I should be able to see 0 pts in the Gradebook for the Activity past the due date, deadline, close date, or cut-off date.

Grades_Incomplete: When the Gradebook is set to "Exempt empty grade" the student would see the "-" icon in their gradebook view if they had successfully submitted an Assignment that was not graded or when student didn't submit a assignment. Students can be confused by this view.
