There are many requests to be able to implement subscores within quizzes, going back at least to Moodle 1.9.8 (https://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=177029). One way this might be done is to allow the score of a question to affect a variable in addition to the quiz final score. The variable results could then be used as tokens in general feedback (e.g. [[subscore1]]), and might optionally be exposed as additional grade items (which would have their own weighting controls in Gradebook).
