      Description

Currently the quiz subnet specification does not allow you to specify a subset of IP addresses, for example, from

133.101.32.1 through 133.101.32.48. This functionality is necessary in order to specify all of the computers in a specific classroom, since other classrooms often contain addresses that are a continuation of the range in the previous classroom.

I have modified the code for the function in moodlelib.php that handles the IP subnet verification

      function address_in_subnet($addr, $subnetstr)

so that ranges can be handled by specifying the string as:

      xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx-yyy

The code, based on 1.5.4+ is in the attachment, subnet.txt
