I got myself into troubles with the implementation of a bank of 88 questions that I put together 4 years ago. I used it for a set of 22 quizzes, each 2-6 question deep. I happily corrected the errors that where spotted by myself and my students in the first year. Then I copied Question Bank and quizzes to a new course for the next year. I proceeded this way for two more years, occasionally finding a new error, before realizing that
questions are hard linked in the quizzes,
i.e. if I correct the Question Bank it does not affect the quiz and if I correct the question in the quiz, the Question Bank remains in its old version.
I searched for suggestions related to this issue with no success. Maybe I am missing the right way to use Quiz and questions - by the way, very nice tools indeed.
In that case more than a suggestion this is a misplaced , sorryrequest for help. If I am using quiz and question correctly, then I think this is a programming misconception.
In my view the link between quiz and question ought to be a symlink, so that there is only one version of the question, and if you correct it once you do not have to hunt for all possible instances and correct them all.
