Users can't find where to request account deletion

      Setup
      1. Log in as an admin
      2. Go to "Site administration / Users / Privacy and policies / Privacy settings"
      3. Tick "Contact the privacy officer"
      4. Save the changes.
      Data export link
      1. Log in as a user.
      2. Go to your profile page.
      3. Confirm that you see the "Export all of my personal data" link.
      4. Click on the "Export all of my personal data" link
      5. Confirm that you are redirected to the "Create a new data request" page.
      6. Confirm that "Export all of my personal data" is selected on the "Type" field.
      7. Optionally, enter a comment.
      8. Save the changes.
      9. Go back to your profile page.
      10. Confirm that the "Export all of my personal data" is not shown.
      11. Click on the "Data requests" link.
      12. Cancel your data export request.
      13. Go back to your profile page.
      14. Confirm that you see the "Export all of my personal data" link.
      Data deletion link
      1. Log in as a user.
      2. Go to your profile page.
      3. Confirm that you see the "Delete all of my personal data" link.
      4. Click on the "Delete all of my personal data" link
      5. Confirm that you are redirected to the "Create a new data request" page.
      6. Confirm that "Delete all of my personal data" is selected on the "Type" field.
      7. Optionally, enter a comment.
      8. Save the changes.
      9. Go back to your profile page.
      10. Confirm that the "Delete all of my personal data" is not shown.
      11. Click on the "Data requests" link.
      12. Cancel your data deletion request.
      13. Go back to your profile page.
      14. Confirm that you see the "Delete all of my personal data" link.

      The support emails for moodle.org and learn.moodle.net often receive messages from people wanting to delete their account but not finding where to request it in the UI. We created the following canned response:

      To request for your data to be deleted from moodle.org, please

      1. Log in and go to your profile https://moodle.org/user/profile.php
      2. Click 'Data requests' in the Privacy and Policies section
      3. Click the New request button
      4. From the dropdown, select 'Delete all of my personal data'
      5. Click the Save changes button.

      Rather than expecting users to go through all of the above steps, it would be good to simply provide them with a link on their profile page.
