Currently time-splitting methods must specify the number of segments to divide a course into, or otherwise specify precise measurements. This proposal requests a generalized time-splitting method that takes three parameters:

1.  Proportional or fixed-length
2. Cumulative or non-cumulative
3. Number of portions or length of fixed-length segments

This time-splitting method would  replace "quarterly," "quarterly accumulative," "deciles," and "deciles cumulative."
