My overview & Recently accessed course blocks are covered by Behat.

Starred courses needs to be tested manually as there are no behat tests for it.
The cases that need to be tested are

When a user has no courses

When the page loads that placeholders will be used.

That a starred course will render in the block.

It would probably be better to avoid code duplication and create core_course templates which the My overview, Recently accessed courses, and Starred courses blocks can reuse. At least, The following templates can be moved to core_course and reused:

no-courses
placeholder-course
The course card in the view-cards template (or probably the view-cards template itself)
