The approach taken as described in MDL-60702 is causing analytics to throw an exception when used with the 'collapsed topic' course format plugin.

The code assumes that if a format has a public 'get_section_dates' method then it must be the 'week' format and that the method takes 1 argument.  However, the 'collapsed topic' format also has a method of that name but that takes 3 arguments.
