1. Use Boost theme (with at very least Firefox and Chrome).
2. As teacher, go to a course where users are enroled.
3. Go to the participants page (e.g. https://qa.moodle.net/user/index.php?id=2).
4. Click on the pencil icon on the entries either in the roles or in the groups (for the group column entry, at least a group has to be set up in the course beforehand) column.
5. Upon hovering the save (floppy disk) icon you the reported underscores are not appearing anymore.
