THIS IS AN MUA PROJECT PROPOSAL THAT WILL BE OR HAS BEEN SUBMITTED FOR POSSIBLE MUA FUNDING.  ANY EXISTING TRACKER ITEMS THAT THIS MIGHT DUPLICATE SHOULD BE LINKED TO BELOW.

      Overview

The current interface for moving and renaming categories in the question bank is unwieldy.  Categories can only be moved up / done one level at at time and need to be renamed using an editing form.  Most other places in Moodle allow for in-place editing and drag and drop ordering.  Lets add that functionality here.

      Summary

      • Project size: small
      • Audience: primary schools, universities, work places
      • Target users: teachers, administrators

      Goals

Allow teachers to re-order categories using drag & drop

Allow teachers to rename question categories using in-place editing.

      User Stories

User stories should be specific to each requirement and provide a clear view of what you want the improvement/new feature to accomplish.

As a teacher, I should be able to reorder categories in the question bank by dragging and dropping.

As a teacher, I should be able to rename question categories easily by using the same pencil icon found elsewhere in Moodle.
