Moodle Collaborative Wiki Visible Groups Files issue

XMLWordPrintable

    • MOODLE_34_STABLE

While using Collaborative Wiki with Visible Groups, it is impossible to set up files correctly. Students can create and edit wiki pages for their groups and see wiki pages of others without the ability to edit. However, they can't add/edit/remove files in their group's wiki. If mod/wiki:managefiles is set to allow, then all students can add/edit/remove all of the files in that wiki, meaning that they can work on the files of other groups. There should be a feature to allow students only work on files of their group but not others, just like the wiki pages.

      FULL STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

      1. Create a wiki activity
      2. Choose "Collaborative wiki" for General -> Wiki mode
      3. Set Common Module Settings -> Group mode to "Visible Groups"

      WHAT I EXPECTED:

Students should be able to manage files of their group's wiki page, but not others

      WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENS:

None of the students can manage any wiki files. Setting mod/wiki:managefiles to allow for students, allow them to manage all files of the wiki, not only their group's files
