      Description

      Moodle 3.5.5
We upgraded at Easter (2019) and have found an issue with outcomes in assignment. After restoring the backup to check what was happening, we discovered the issue was also present before the upgrade in 3.4.7. We also found it in our test environment 3.6.3.

Set up an assignment with outcomes connected to a scale. Student submits an assignment and is graded using outcomes and an overall grade. For example an assignment might have 3 outcomes with a scale of 'Not Met, Refer, Met'. In the first attempt for each outcome, the student is given a 'Refer' and an overall grade of 'Refer'. The student is allowed a second attempt. That attempt is graded and this time the outcomes are rated as 'Met' and the overall grade is 'Met'. If the grader then views the first attempt the original outcomes have changed from 'Refer' to 'Met' and are the same as the ones in the second attempt. The overall grade is correct and has not changed.

The outcomes in the first attempt should not change. This is a problem as teachers need to see the original grades for the first attempt.
