      Description

The rubric doesn't respect the grade to pass setting.

      Try the following:

      1. Create a scale fail/pass in your course
      2. Create an assignment with a rubric that holds 4 criteria, simple no = 0 points, yes = 0.5 point. Make sure your scale is the scale you created in step one.
      3. Set grade to pass to 2 (meaning 'pass' in your scale)

With this setup you would think that all rubric criteria need to be set to 'yes' (hence = 2 points and pass). This is not the case. Even with 3 times 'yes' and one 'no' (hence =1.5 points) the assignment will be passed

It has to do with this: https://docs.moodle.org/30/en/Rubrics#Grade_calculation

Some people have requested this issue on the forums earlier, see:

There should be a way to set up a rubric which allows a score to pass. Right now everything 50% and higher is automatically a pass in the rubric.
