      Description

I see this is a bug listed as resolved, however in our new 1.6.2+, this appears whenever a random question is added to a quiz and you go to preview it with the little magnifying glass.

      The quiz behaves normally.

Random questions should not have a preview link next to them. It makes no sense.

We get this whenever a teacher puts random questions into a quiz that cause the total number of questions in the quiz to exceed the number of questions available for the category. ie, they have 15 questions in a category, they add all 15 to the quiz, then add a random question from the category to the quiz. (Or they have 30 questions in the category and add 50 random to the quiz...) I've told them that logically, if you can't use a random question twice, you can't put more questions into a quiz than you have available.

If they don't preview the quiz, they don't see the error message until a student had taken it and pointed it out - and then they can't fix the quiz.

It would be nice to see some sort of check when random questions are added so they don't get to choose any more than they have available to put into the quiz.

        I've removed the preview link.

Checking that there are enough questions in a category to supply the number of random questions is a separate issue: MDL-6103.
