Log into your test site as site admin.
Restore the attached course (Forum test course, FT101) into a new course in your test site.
Navigate to the "Forum test course" course, and open the forum called "Parlay".
Open the forum actions menu and click "Export".
Leave the "Strip HTML" and "Human-readable dates" checkboxes unchecked
Set the format to "Microsoft Excel" and click on the Export button
Open the exported file
Verify that the "created" and the "modified" fields contain timestamps
Verify that there is a "messageformat" column next to the "message" column
Verify that the message column contains some HTML tags
Refresh the page (You need to refresh the page because of a known issue reported at MDL-66886 )
Select the "Strip HTML" and "Human-readable dates" checkboxes
Set the format to "Microsoft Excel" and click on the Export button
Open the exported file
Verify that the "created" and the "modified" fields contain human-readable date and times
Verify that the "messageformat" column is equal to "2" in all rows
Verify that the message column does not contain any HTML tags
