Error messages occur when creating random groups.

      Description

      Today, I had the need to create 10 groups picking students randomly.  I had "debugging' turned on, and got some error messages.  The groupings were created correctly, but I just wanted to alert you to these error messages.

      Moodle 3.7.2+ (Build: 20191004), PHP 7.2.13, MariaDB 10.2.20, Boost theme.

      (I am not sure if earlier versions of Moodle have this problem.  I tried 3.6, and the errors did not occur.
